Nick Phillips
Nick is a graduate student in the Cancer Biology PhD program, jointly advised by Ash Alizadeh. He is interested in applied machine learning in cancer biology, with a focus on discovering novel biomarkers of anti-cancer drug activity and identifying therapeutically relevant mechanisms of resistance to cell therapies. Before returning to graduate school, he held machine learning and data science roles in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including GSK and Personalis. He previously completed an MS in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University, an MS in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University.
