George Lantz
George is a PhD student in the Stanford Cancer Biology Program. He graduated from Northeastern University in 2023 with a B.S. in Biochemistry. During his undergraduate studies, he worked under Tovah Day studying G-quadruplex DNA structures and chromatin regulation, contributing to the identification of BAZ2B as a negative regulator of quadruplex formation. After graduating, he worked at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the lab of Dipanjan Chowdhury, where he studied mechanisms of resistance to ATR inhibitors in the DNAdamage response. At Stanford, George aims to develop and apply high-throughput functional genomics and screening platforms to uncover genotype-specific dependencies in cancer.
