PhD Student (Genetics)
Ethan Garvin
Ethan is a graduate student in the department of Genetics. He graduated from Yale University in 2022 with a B.S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. During his undergraduate studies, he worked under Dr. Joan Steitz studying mechanisms of post-transcriptional RNA stabilization. After graduating, he spent a year working at Halda Therapeutics helping develop heterobifunctional small molecule therapies to fight prostate cancer. At Stanford, Ethan aims to create and employ high-throughput functional genomics techniques to identify novel anti-cancer mechanisms.
